Honey-Glazed Baked Apples Filled with Dried Fruit

What You'll Need

  1. 4 large Golden Delicious apples, unpeeled, cored

  2. 8 tablespoons mixed dried fruit bits

  3. 1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice

  4. 3 or more tablespoons honey

What To Do

  • Preheat oven to 350*.  Cut a thin slice from the bottom of each apple so that they will stand upright.  Place the apples in 9-inch-diameter glass pie dish.

  • Fill cored-out sections of each apple with 2 tablespoons dried fruit bits

  • Drizzle honey over dried fruit filling and apples

  • Bake apples until tender when pierced with skewer, basting frequently with pan juices for about 55 minutes.

  • Serve warm, spooning pan juices over
