Guacamole and Tortilla Chips

What You'll Need

FOR THE TORTILLA CHIPS

  1. 12  Corn Tortillas
  2. Salt for Sprinkling

FOR THE GUACAMOLE

  1. 4 ripe Avocados
  2. 1/2 cup hot salsa
  3. 2 tablespoons fresh Lemon
  4. 3/4 teaspoon Salt
  5. 1/4 cup finely chopped Onion
  6. 1/4 cup chopped Tomato
  7. 1 clove finely chopped Garlic

What To Do

  • Preheat oven to 400*
  • Cut  each tortilla into 8 equal wedges and arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet.  Sprinkle with salt
  • Bake in the middle rack of the oven for 5 minutes or until crispy.  Then remove to chill
  • Cut the avocados in half lengthwise.  Scoop the avocado away from the skin with a spoon into a medium bowl.  Keep the pit in the mix to help maintain freshness
  • Mash the avocadoes with a large fork
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly
